ASDA Rewards is a grocery scheme: you build a Cashpot through in-store Missions, and Rewards vouchers exclude petrol and petrol-station purchases. There is no standing per-litre fuel reward. Asda instead runs occasional fuel coupons — in July 2026 it offered 5p per litre off one fill after a single £40 in-store shop, which Asda described as its first fuel saving through Rewards. That coupon expired on 7 August 2026. Check the app for any live fuel offer before you plan a trip around one.

Sign up for ALL the free loyalty schemes. Use whichever one matches where you're filling up. There's no rule saying you can only have one!

2. Time Your Big Shop with Fuel

Supermarkets periodically run spend-linked fuel coupons — Asda ran 5p per litre off after a £40 shop in July 2026. These come and go, so check the app before assuming one is live.

3. Use Clubcard Reward Partners for 2x Value

Tesco Clubcard points are worth 1p each, but your vouchers are worth up to 2x face value with Reward Partners such as days out, restaurants and the RAC. That doubles what your fuel points are worth — but only if you actually use a partner.

4. Don't Forget In-Store Purchases

Shell GO+ Rewards and BPme give points on shop purchases too. Grabbing a coffee? Scan your card for extra points.

5. Check for Double Points Promotions

Schemes regularly run bonus point events — Esso app milestone bonuses, Morrisons double-points weeks and Shell V-Power promotions all appear periodically. Sainsbury's Nectar Double Up has not run since 2021, so don't wait for it.

6. Company Fuel Card? You Might Double-Dip

Some company fuel cards let you scan a personal loyalty card too — but many schemes exclude commercial cards. Esso's Nectar terms rule out Esso Card, EuroShell, Allstar, UK Fuels and others, and Circle K says its fuel discount cannot be combined with a fuel card. Check the scheme's terms and your employer's policy before relying on it.
